The Repetition Minute

Description:

The repetition minute is an additional mechanism established in a watch side dial and with a barrel
and a small train of wheel side dial.

This complication starts by means of a bolt or a push rod located on the side of the box.

During release, the repetition "will read" the hour via feeler on cams, which will make it possible two hammers to sound on springs stamps the hours, the quarters and the minutes.

• A hammer will sound the hours on a serious stamp.
• The quarters will sound thanks to the hammer of the hours alternated with the hammer of the minutes (a quarter = blows of the hammer of the hours and blows of the hammer of the minutes)
• The hammer of the minutes smaller than the hammer of the hours and sounding on a stamp acute will sound the minutes up to 14 minutes.

Wheel of the mechanism of ringing

The watch with repetition minute has its wheel of mechanism of ringing.

It is made up: of a barrel of ringing,
of a barrel arbor, on which is freely adjusted a called retained wheel wheel of rocket turning in a direction which is in relation to a pawl what makes it possible to regulate the tension within the competence of the ringing.

The rocket shaft is prolonged by a square on which are adjusted:

• The ratchet of the hours
  
• The pinion of toothed rack
  
• The finger of the pinion of toothed rack

The continuation of the wheel (2) is composed of 4 multiplying wheels with pinion and a last pinion with tigeron which carries the runners centrifuges (3).

The speed with which the ringing is carried out depends on the number of revolutions of this wheel.

This speed is regulated by the pinion of centrifugal.
This system is composed of an arm on which two adjusted runners are assembled very freely.
Under the effect the number of revolutions, these two runners deviate from their centre of rotation, and by friction on a cylindrical part, regularize speed.

(One also finds speed regulators to exhaust)

The hammers, at rest, does not rest on the stamps what make it possible the latter to freely vibrate.
